Joaquim Rolim, Executive Secretary for Industry of the Secretariat for Economic Development of the State of Ceará and coordinator of the Energy Chamber of the Northeast Consortium. He is an electrical engineer with an MBA in electricity business management and specialization in industrial administration. He served as coordinator of the Energy Center of FIEC - Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará. He is part of the Working Group for the development of the Green Hydrogen Hub of Ceará. Professional with extensive experience in electricity distribution and in the industrial sector, and extensive knowledge in renewable energies and green hydrogen.

Both for solar and energy storage China has become an industrial powerhouse and a dominant player in global supply chains. However, in light of recent geopolitical developments, both the US and Europe have been making significant efforts to 'onshore' production of critical components, such as battery cells and PV panels.This session will examine Brazilian industry policies and local production initiatives in the context of these global developments and explore how these activities could contribute to a competitive local supply of solar PV and energy storage components and systems.
