Moisés Alves is a New Products and Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Matrix Energia, Brazil's largest independent retail energy supplier. He holds a degree in Energy Engineering from UNIFEI, where he graduated with honors. He leads projects throughout their entire lifecycle: identifying applications, working with engineering teams on design specifications, conducting financial and feasibility modeling, handling regulatory and tax matters, and structuring contracts. He maintains communication with ANEEL and ONS, providing formal input to public consultations. Previously, he worked on the valuation and due diligence of energy assets, including SNEL11, the country's largest renewable energy real estate investment fund (FII).

With 29 years of experience in the electricity sector, she joined the National Electricity System Operator when it was founded, where she built a solid career in technical and management positions. At the end of 2017, she took over the Executive Management of Electricity Planning at the ONS, where she is responsible for the entire planning chain for the operation of the National Interconnected System (SIN). In 2024, she took over as Executive Advisor to the ONS Planning Board, supporting the Director in the management of the country's Engineering, Electrical and Energy Planning areas. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she graduated in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. She has specialization and post-graduate degrees in Power Systems from the Federal University of Itajubá, in Economic Engineering and Industrial Administration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a MBA in Management Development from IAG Executive Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). She completed an internship in Energisa's Innovation department, focusing on vehicle chargers and demand response. She is currently an Innovation Analyst in Energisa's Innovation Division, working on projects related to electric mobility, distributed energy resources (DERs), ancillary services, and demand response. Its scope of work includes dynamic pricing management, power control (charge profile), criteria for installing charging stations, and analysis of charger performance data. She conducted studies on the behavior of vehicle chargers in the distribution network; her thesis proposed a methodology for identifying patterns in active and reactive power load curves at an actual charging station, enabling power flow studies in OpenDSS to assess impacts such as voltage variations and transformer loading. In addition to continuing to work in the field of electric mobility, the company is currently conducting studies on the sizing of battery energy storage systems (BESS) aimed at load forecasting and assessing the support capacity of substations over the years.
