Eduardo Azevedo is the Director of New Business at Solatio, where he leads the company's initiatives in green hydrogen, energy storage, and data centers across Brazil and Chile.
A seasoned professional in the clean energy sector, Eduardo is also the founder of Singular Energia, a consultancy specializing in clean energy technologies and the energy transition. Additionally, he is the President of Energy at LIDE Pernambuco, a multilateral organization that connects global leaders and enterprises to drive innovation, free-market growth, and sustainable economic development.
Before joining Solatio, Eduardo held key leadership roles in the public sector, including: National Secretary of Energy Planning and Development at Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy, Executive Secretary of Energy for the State of Pernambuco and Vice President of Renewable Energy at the National Forum of Brazilian Secretaries of Mines and Energy.
As Executive Secretary, he conceived and led Brazil's first solar energy auction in the state of Pernambuco in 2013, paving the way for the country's inaugural national auction to secure solar PPAs in the regulated energy market the following year.
As Energy Planning Secretary, he spearheaded the team that redesigned national power planning and purchase agreement frameworks, enabling energy efficiency initiatives, decarbonization projects and the replacement of fossil fuel power plants with renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the Amazon and other isolated systems.
Eduardo holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, as well as an MBA in Energy Commercialization from the University of Pernambuco, Brazil.
